FIRE AND ICE

Nordic landscapes reflect the volatile co-dependence of elemental forces. The destructive activity of volcanic fire and the isolating stillness of ice serve a poignant note to humanity.

As we struggle hot and cold with ourselves and each other, we disregard the fact that nature is dispassionate. The very environment that created life is very well poised to end us.

Using no visual references, I rely on my imagination and the movement of paint.
