My paintings explore memories and imaginings from my marine expeditions and discoveries as an archaeologist. I engage with the transporting power and escapism of places, ruins and natural phenomena.

Gazing at water I enjoy the pure being, essence and movement of things.

Thoughts of such intriguing places slowly emerge from the canvas and lure me like a passenger to seek another compelling journey.
